It's spring break at the University of Oregon but members of the Ducks’ baseball team are staying in town this week, helping out in the community.
We know the Ducks can play baseball - but how would they fare playing a spirited round of "bean bag baseball”?
On Sunday, the team picked up their sixth win in a row completing a sweep of Northwestern State.
But the competition is a little different at Garden Way Retirement Community.
Four members of the Ducks tried their hand at "bean bag baseball" - two teams made up of student-athletes and seniors.
And this isn't your ordinary cornhole game at a tailgate.
"We try to put the people we know are good on separate teams," said Garden Way resident Gale Sieghart with a laugh.
The team said they didn't know what to expect while playing but had a great time interacting with members of the community.
"It was awesome,” said Ducks freshman pitcher Turner Spoljaric. “It was a ton of fun just getting out here and meeting everybody, play a little bit of hackysack baseball. I came out with the win, my team, me and Anderson. It was a goody day."
"It means everything,” added freshman pitcher Jackson Pace. “These are the people who support us and make what we do a fun experience. We do it for them, ultimately - the fans are the people we do it for. It's great to interact with them and do all this stuff. It's amazing."
For the residents, adding the student athletes to their game was a real treat.
"I think just having them here and having them miss when they play, doesn't make us feel so bad when we miss when we play!" laughed resident Sharyn Rice.
This game of bean bag baseball needed extra innings to determine a winner, but the memories made left everyone feeling on top.
The Ducks are back in action this weekend on the road for a three-game series against Arizona starting on Friday.
Oregon's next home game is Tuesday, April 2, hosting Portland.
