Oregon Men’s Basketball lives to see another day.
For the second game in a row, the Ducks picked up a victory in the NIT Tournament without their three leading scorers; Will Richardson, Jermaine Couisnard and N’Faly Dante.
Oregon defeated UCF 68-54.
The Ducks were led by Central Point native Nate Bittle who had a double-double (21 points, 13 rebounds). Quincy Guerrier had 16 points while freshman Kel’el Ware had 11 points off the bench.
The Ducks advance to the round of 16 where they will host the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on ESPN. The last time Oregon and Wisconsin met in the postseason, the Ducks upset the Badgers in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
Incoming University of Oregon president, John Karl Scholz, is the outgoing provost at the University of Wisconsin.
