Oregon Women's Basketball is on their way to the second round of the WNIT Tournament after breezing past North Dakota State Friday night 96-57.
Head Coach Kelly Graves acknowledged the team was down about not making the NCAA Tournament this year but was proud that his team didn't let it affect their play on the floor.
The Ducks established dominance on both ends of the floor early and ran away with the game in the second half, shutting down any discussion that the team would not get up for the NIT.
"We didn't play the “we got snubbed” card. We just kind of came in, played loose, played really hard, and then the shots started falling. So, nah. Can't play that game. And, you know, the longer you stay in the tournament you kind of forget which tournament you're in exactly. And, you just know that hey we won and we're going to prepare for the next opponent. Then if we win that, we'll prepare again."
Oregon will host Rice Monday night at 6 p.m. in Matthew Knight Arena.
