Man seriously injured after crash in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Brian R. Kliethermes, 55, of Eugene is recovering from serious injuries after a vehicle crash in Miller County on Wednesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the crash happened at 4:00 p.m. on Route 17.

Troopers say Kliethermes was traveling south when he attempted to make a left turn across the highway into a gas station.

As Richard E. Abbott, 62, was traveling north, Troopers say Kliethermes turned into the path of Abbott and hit his vehicle.

Kliethermes was transported by EMS to St Mary's Hospital. Troopers say Kliethermes was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but Abbott was not.
