Baltimore County Police were on scene for a barricade situation in Essex on Monday morning.
The barricade was in the area of Thompson Boulevard.
According to Baltimore County Police, they responded to a residence after 11 a.m. for a weapons incident.
Shots were fired from the residence, but no one was injured.
The suspect remained confined in the residence until police peacefully resolved the situation just before 4:00 p.m.
Deep Creek Middle School and Sandalwood Elementary School dismissed on time.
There was no threats to the schools during the time of the situation.
Police say charges are pending.
