Lady Battlers Start Season With Two Losses
The Battle Lake girls basketball team started the new season with a home game against the Park Christian Falcons. The Battlers fell behind early and were never able to recover. The Falcon´s aggressive full court defense created a number of Battler turnovers that they were able to convert into early offense. By the half, the Falcons had established a 20-40 lead. In the second half, Battle Lake cleaned up some of the turnovers and played a more even period. By the end of the game, the Falcons left town with a 71-40 win.
