    Enterprise to celebrate Juneteenth Main Street Parade

    ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — In celebration and recognition of the “Emancipation Day” federal holiday, Enterprise citizens are invited to enjoy a Juneteenth parade this Saturday, June 15, beginning at noon on 303 N. Main Street and ending at 306 S. Main Street.

    Parking will be available at multiple locations, including;

    • the lot behind the old Yancey Parker’s building on Easy Street;
    • the lot adjacent to the Coffee County Courthouse on Edwards Street; and
    • the First Methodist Church parking lot on Grubbs Street.
    • College, and Railroad Streets

    City officials recommend you bring water and stay hydrated, it’s gonna be hot!

    Post-parade activities will keep the celebration going after with a live DJ, car show, food, games for children, and merchandise vendors, all at Johns Chapel AME Church.

    Main Street will be closed to traffic starting at 11 a.m. and will be open again by 1:30 p.m.
