Multi-vehicle crash reported on US 50 near Emporia

PLYMOUTH ( KSNT ) – A crash involving several vehicles is being reported for an area on US-50 Highway just west of Emporia.

The crash is being reported on kandrive.gov for a section of the highway south of the town of Plymouth between the Chase and Lyon County lines. The closure is between Road B 5 and C on the highway for both directions.

The Kansas Department of Transportation has no detour listed for the crash at this time. How long the road will remain closed was not included in the report.

The crash is being reported amid a round a severe weather which has caused multiple power outages across the state. Several tornado warnings were also issued in parts of northeast Kansas.
