Chain restaurants are invading this exploding Boise suburb. The newest opens Friday

Deer Flat Road — the 10th Idaho location for the Utah-based brand. “Kuna is a close-knit town, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone in, pass around the plates and bring a little more ‘ohana to the neighborhood,” Kimo Mack, cofounder of Mo’ Bettahs, said in a prepared statement. Customers will be treated to a free lunchtime mini-plate and drink from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mo’ Bettahs will hold a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m., then a party from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring samples, merchandise and a photo booth, according to a press release. Kuna is a growing Boise suburb — the 11th-fastest-growing city or town in America, according to recent census data . National brands have noticed.
