EMMET – While it’s a few days early, Emmet will host its 2nd Annual 4th of July Celebration on July 1.

There will be live music, food trucks, vendor booths, face painting, children’s slide and fireworks, along with gifts for first responders. The event will again take place at the former Emmet school.

It will kick off with a children’s patriotic parade, where decorated bikes and ATVs are the star attraction. There will also be a most patriotic outfit contest again this year. The food vendors open at 5 p.m. with live music from 6-9 p.m. and the fireworks starting at sunset.

Those planning to attend should bring their lawn chairs for the fireworks show.

For more information call Deanna Allen at 903-559-3631. The event is being sponsored by the Emmet Vision Association.
