Area libraries offering Storytime, Crafts and fun for Children and Adults this summer

The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is, “All Together Now.”

The Millbrook Public Library Summer Reading Program is located at 3650 Grandview Road in Millbrook. The program is OPEN and will end on July 28th.  This is for children between the ages of four and twelve that are reading independently and they must be library books. Daily prizes will be drawn and BIG prizes will be given out on the last day of the program. Help the library meet their goal of 2000 books read, improve reading goals, take a chance at winning a prize, and have good library fun. The Autauga-Prattville Public Library will be offering their Summer Reading Program starting on June 12th through July 18th. The library is located at 254 Doster Street in Prattville. This is for children and there is also one for adults. Before the program starts, a Summer Kick Off Party for children and families will be held on June 9th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. A Social Sip Adult Summer Library Club Kick Off event will be on June 10th from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. The library will have families, baby, elementary, teen, and adult programs. They will also have games, presentations, and crafts for all ages. The participants who read the most minutes in each age category will win a prize! No alcohol will be present or allowed. The Wetumpka Public Library will be offering their Summer Reading Program from June 8th through July 12th. Registration is OPEN for children in grades first through sixth grade. There is no registration for children in seventh grade through twelfth grade. The library is located at 212 South Main Street in Wetumpka. They will be drawing multiple names weekly, and there will be small prizes awarded each week. The library will have many different programs, like art, music, and presentations from presenters as well. The Eclectic Public Library will be offering their Summer Reading Program at the Eclectic Warehouse located at 45 Main Street in Eclectic. The program will start on June 6th and continues every Tuesday in June at 2 P.M. All ages are invited to attend. Come join them for all the fun activities planned for the program. The Tallassee Community Library will be offering their Summer Reading Program at their library located at 99 Freeman Avenue in Tallassee. The program will begin on June 7th. Classes are full and registration is CLOSED. They are not accepting anymore children at this time due to limited space available. They also have an adult reading raffle and will be giving away the “Book Quilt” that is hanging in their library for one lucky winner! The Marbury Public Library will have Storytime with Mrs. Kim on Tuesdays at 10 A.M. for the months of June and July. The library is located at 205 County Road 20 East. The Autaugaville Public Library will have Storytime with Mrs. Kim on Wednesdays at 10 A.M. for the months of June and July. The library is located at 109 North Taylor Street. The Billingsley Public Library will have Storytime with Mrs. Kim on Thursdays at 10 A.M. for the months of June and July. The library is located at 2021 Office Street. The Montgomery City-County Public Library will be offering their Summer Reading Program from June 5th through July 28th. Join the library for eight weeks of summer fun. The library is located at 245 High Street in Montgomery. They will be offering a Summer Fun Day on June 5th from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Come by the children’s department to sign up and pick a prize out of the Treasure Chest, stay and play a board game or two, color a special summer page or make your own friendship paper doll. Pick up your reading logs and BINGO Cards. Complete the BINGO challenge throughout the summer to help make their communities safer.
