What channel is the Belmont Stakes on? TV coverage, live stream & more to watch 2023 race

The final leg of horse racing's Triple Crown is upon us. Nine horses will take to the starting gate at 7:02 p.m. ET Saturday, June 10 at Belmont Park to complete the 2023 iteration of horse racing's biggest series of events.

A purse of $1.5 million is on the line, and the field is full of talented 3-year-olds, from Preakness Stakes winner National Treasure to 2022 champion juvenile colt Forte and Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Angel of Empire.

Forte, trained by Todd Pletcher, has won six of his seven career starts. The last time he raced was in April at the Curlin Florida Derby, which he won.

He was entered in the Kentucky Derby but was scratched due to what was reported as a bruised hoof . Forte is the morning-line favorite for the Belmont at 5-2 odds as of Friday.

What channel is the Belmont Stakes on?

  • TV channel: Fox

The third leg of thoroughbred horse racing's Triple Crown will be broadcast live on Fox on Saturday, June 10. Pre-race coverage will air on FS1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and post-race coverage will air on FS2 from 7:30-8 p.m.

This is the first year the race will be broadcast live on Fox. The race will be called by Tom Durkin, and he will be joined by a large team of hosts, handicappers and racing analysts.

The third leg of the Triple Crown is scheduled to go off at 7:02 p.m. ET from Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y. The Belmont Stakes is the longest of the three Triple Crown races at 12 furlongs, which equates to 1 1/2 miles — the Kentucky Derby is 1 1/4 miles and the Preakness Stakes is 1 3/16 miles.
