Caregiver in Lancaster County accused of neglecting, abusing patient
LITITZ, Pa. — A caregiver at an assisted living residence in Lancaster County has been accused of abusing a patient in her care. Lori Van Igen, 59, of Mountville, has been charged with two counts of neglect of a care-dependent person and two counts of simple assault by Lititz Borough Police, who began investigating on January 3, when the victim showed up in the emergency room of a local hospital for treatment of injuries she'd sustained earlier in the day.
