ELLSWORTH — Acadia Fire FC has opened registration for the fall travel soccer season. Acadia Fire will enter teams from age U8-U14 as roster size and competitiveness allow.
Players must register to attend a tryout. Registration for tryouts for new players can be found at https://tinyurl.com/4pd9mztp.
Tryouts will be held on the soccer fields of Trenton Elementary School from 6-7:30 p.m. on June 25, July 11 and July 18. If a player cannot attend a tryout, they should email AFFC Director of Coaching Mark Hundhammer at Mark@acadiafiresoccer.com to make alternate arrangements. Only players who have not played on an AFFC fall or spring travel team need to attend a tryout. Potential players need only attend one tryout.
Registration for returning AFFC players can be found at https://tinyurl.com/2p8zde4r. Previously playing on an AFFC team does not guarantee a roster spot for the current season.
The registration fee for the fall travel season is $250. The Fall Classic Travel League season includes weekly practices from August through October, games on Sunday against other Maine travel club teams and a tournament over Indigenous People’s Day weekend.
The fall season is a town-based league so if a player lives in a town that also offers teams in the league (Bangor, Brewer, Ellsworth), that player should register for their local team. Financial assistance is available if needed.
Additional fall programs will include skills academies, Sparks! teams for players ages 5-7 and open play times. Acadia Fire will also be offering summer camps and open play times this summer throughout the area.
