Ellsworth Public Library – Author Talk – Tim and Buzz Caverly June 22nd

The Ellsworth Public Library presents 'An Evening with retired Baxter State Park Director Buzz Caverly, and retired Allagash Supervisor Tim Caverly' on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 6 p.m.

Tim and Buzz Caverly will share tales from their book, "Conversations with Tim and Buzz Caverly". Combined, they have served in some of Maine’s most beautiful and treasured wilderness areas for a total of 78 years. Enjoy these areas through their personal experiences!

Tim began his Maine outdoors stewardship as a ranger at Sebago Lake State Park, while he was in college. He continued his employment with the Department of Conservation with various assignments, including 18 years as Superintendent of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.

Buzz spent 46 years at Baxter State Park, serving as Director of the Park for 22 years. He spent his career working to fulfill Percival Baxter’s wish that the Park ““…shall forever be retained and used for state forest, public park and recreational purposes…shall forever be kept and remain in the natural wild state…shall forever be kept and remain as a sanctuary for beasts and birds”.
