El Centro home on fire, no other homes affected

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - According to the El Centro Fire Department (ECFD), the fire is confirmed as an accidental cooking fire and quickly spread throughout the home.

One resident suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for precautionary measures.

ECFD says all three adults who lived in the home are okay.

The Red Cross has been requested.

The call came in around 1:30 p.m and took about two hours to put out.

The home is located on 23rd Street and Ocotillo Drive.

El Centro, Holtville and Imperial County Fire Departments were on scene.

ECFD says the home is considered a total loss and no other homes were affected.
