SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – As Easter approaches, local groups are planning fun, family-friendly events to celebrate. Take a look through the list.

Bluffton Area Community Association’s Easter Egg Hunt

The Bluffton Area Community Association invites the public out for an afternoon of fun, games, face painting and much more.

The event is set for Saturday, April 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bluffton High School Johnston Baseball Stadium (12 H.E.McCracken Cir.).

The Easter Bunny will be stopping by!

Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens Easter Egg Hunt

Celebrate Easter surrounded by beautiful local blooms. The Botanical Gardens will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt for children 10 and under.

It’s taking place at the Botanical Gardens at Canebrake Rd. in Savannah on April 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The toddler (ages 3 and under) egg hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the kids (ages 4-10) egg hunt will take place at 11 a.m.

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities including face painting, arts and crafts, ad cookie decorating.

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance!

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office hosts Easter Egg Hunt

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt.

It’s happening on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the sheriff’s office, located at 130 First St. Ext.

There will be egg hunts for all different age groups — even adults. The first hunt will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by the adult egg hunt at 11:30 a.m.

The sheriff’s office promises gifts, prizes, vendors and some surprises.

Guests are asked to bring their own Easter basket to participate in the egg hunt.

Hardeeville’s Easter Eggstravaganza

The Hardeeville Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will be scattering 8,000 eggs for their annual Easter egg hunt. It’s free and open to the public.

Happening on Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event will take place at 205 Main St., behind City Hall.

There will be free Easter baskets for the first 100 children.

Guests can expect free face painting, bouncy houses, a trackless train and the Easter Bunny.

Pooler Business Community Easter Egg Hunt

If you’re looking for a different type of egg-hunting experience, look no further than the Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted ExperCARE! The week-long hunt will take families all across Pooler. The goal is to find an egg and each of the businesses listed here. The egg can later be brought to ExperCARE’s Pooler location (2201 Pooler PKWY, Pooler, Ga 31322) to enter in the drawing for a grand prize.

The event begins on April 1 and ends on April 7.

Each egg counts as an entry to win the Grand Prize with over $500 in gift cards, prizes, and swag.

The more businesses you visit, the more chances you will have to win.

**Must be 18 or older to win the Grand Prize.

Savannah Police Department’s Eggstreme Easter Fun Day

The department’s annual Eggstreme Easter Fun Day returns on Sunday, April 2, in Daffin Park.

Happening from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., guests can expect food, face painting, bounce houses and much more.

The Easter egg hunt begins at 2 p.m. followed by the Magic Marc Show at 3 p.m. The Easter Bunny and McGruff the Crime Dog will be visiting, too.

St. John Baptist Church’s Family Fun Festival

“The Mighty Fortress” will be hosting a full day of good old-fashioned family fun on April 8.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., guests can enjoy an Easter egg hunt as well as a music concert. Bring your friends and family to play fun games, shop local vendors, and enjoy good food.

The event will take place at 2415 E. Derenne Ave. in Savannah.

Statesboro Exchange Club’s Community Picnic

The Statesboro Exchange Club will be hosting a community picnic and Easter egg hunt on Wednesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 7th Mile Farm located at 7436 GA HWY 46.

The event is open to the public and free.

Kids and parents alike can enjoy good food, drinks, games, and more. Plus, guests will also get a special visit from the Easter Bunny!

Statesboro YMCA’s Easter Egg Hunt Egg-Stravaganza

The Statesboro Family YMCA (409 Clairborne Ave.) is hosting a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to children of all ages.

Guests will enjoy bounce houses, face paintings, crafts and more. Egg hunts will be held for various ages as well as for children with sensory conditions.

Great Thunderbolt Egg Hunt

The Town of Thunderbolt invites the community to a day of family fun at the Great Thunderbolt Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s taking place at Cesaroni Park.

Expect a day full of food trucks, field games, vendors and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt will be split into three age groups: 3 and under, 4 to 6, and 10 and under.
