Alton crews respond to fire at home of mayor
Alton firefighters were called to the home of Alton Mayor David Goins on Monday after the mayor stopped by his home and discovered smoke. Authorities got the 9-1-1 call from Goins around 11:45am for the home he shares with his wife in the 2700 block of Judson. No injuries were reported, and the small fire was limited to an area in the basement.
