GIAA state championship postponed due to weather
MACON, Ga. (WALB) - Game two of the GIAA class AAA state championship between Valwood and Terrell Academy has been postponed. The game was originally scheduled for Friday May 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM EST, but rain and field conditions has forced the GIAA to move the game to Monday at 10:00 AM EST.
Wiregrass storms topple trees in Houston, Henry counties
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Several trees and power lines fell in eastern Wiregrass after thunderstorms rolled through earlier in the day. Trees and power lines went down along Jordan Avenue in Cowarts. One tree fell in the Granberry Crossroads area in Henry County, blocking a dirt driveway to a home.
