Museum tells authentic story of a Norwegian immigrant family through three generations
PIERRE — The Stavig House Museum in Sisseton recently completed fundraising more than $120,000 to establish a permanent endowment fund at the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) and was awarded $20,000 in matching funds from SDCF’s Nonprofit Savings Account grant program. The annual event is held in honor of Trevor Zuehlke’s foundation that goes to benefit many youth activities. As usual, the race finished with the “Courage Lap” led by Trevor, his family and his team. LA Squad Competes Twice
The Langford Area track squad competed in a pair of meets during the past week and also had two meets cancelled due to bad weather. Coach Charles Hosford’s crew participated in a meet at Groton last week Tuesday and traveled to Oakes on Thursday. LA was supposed to have competed in Webster on Friday and Milbank on Tuesday but those meets were cancelled.

North Dakota Stockmen’s Association’s Spring Roundups set for June 3, 5-6 and 10-12
The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) will be hosting its 2024 Spring Roundup series, “Swing for the Fences,” June 3, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 in Golden Valley, Watford City, Crosby, Strasburg, Cooperstown and Havana, N.D. The Spring Roundups serve as the organization’s district meetings and will include socials, suppers, informational programs, NDSA Nominating Committee meetings and local brand inspector meetings.
