Martinsville sees large drop in crime rates compared to previous years
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - Crime rates in Martinsville have lowered to a third of what they were in 2023. Crime in Martinsville has been on a downward trend for the past five years. But so far this year, the crime rates are lower than ever before. In fact, Police Chief Robert Fincher says there has been a 36% decrease in crime rates compared to this time last year.
