UW-Stout golfer Andrew Bauer captured his first Chippewa Valley Golf Association (CVGA) Open Division win at the 2024 Pheasant Hills Open over the weekend.

Bauer won with a par on the first playoff hole. While it is the first tournament win for the CVGA regular, he had been knocking on the door recently for a victory.

Finishing tied for second was soon to be fifth-year senior Jay Fjelstyl at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and Andrew Boemer from St. Johns University in Minnesota.

The two-way tie for fourth was earned by fellow Stout Blue Devil Dalton Anderson and fellow Johnny Will Gruidl with 3 under par 69’s.

With a 72 today, Travis Meyer narrowly held on to the lead in the race for the season long player of the year.

Skins were won by Trey Timm, Ben Davis, Tony Fitts, Chris Anderson, Matt Kamish, Jake Brookshaw, Brandon Sperling, and Peter Maki.

The next stop on the CVGA Tour is the Turtleback Open in Rice Lake on Sunday.
