The Lady Cougars lost 3-0 to the 6th ranked team in the state, the Yorktown Tigers. Despite leading the whole first set, the Cougars were unable to seal the win, and subsequently lost 25-23, 25-16, 25-14. Overall, it was a competitive match with several long rallies. Both teams clearly wanted to win tonight.

GC Tennis celebrated senior night Wednesday night. The team has been lucky enough to have 5 great seniors this year, Liam Flanagan, Chris Long, CJ Michalek, Caden Robertson, and Thomas Ryba. All five of these guys have been great leaders on and off the courts for the Cougars throughout their entire tennis career. The team finished the evening celebration with a clean sweep of Yorktown on both varsity(5-0) and jv(10-0). This was the Cougars final conference match of the season, giving the team a 6-1 conference record. The next match will be at Warren Central on Saturday.

On the court, players – dressed in white shirts featuring the “Dancing Charlie” logo – quickly migrated from one practice position to the next.
