Easton police investigate afternoon gunfire

Easton police are investigating gunfire Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of Lehigh Street.

Shots were reported fired just after 4:50 p.m. Investigators believe two men argued with the suspected shooter just prior to the incident, then fled east on Lehigh Street, according to city police.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting. There was no damage to any property, police said.

Police described the shooter as a man, possibly in his late teens, 6 feet tall and wearing a red and black hooded sweatshirt. He also had dreadlocks or braids, authorities said.

Anyone with information about Thursday’s shooting is asked to call the Easton Police Department at 610-250-6645 or the department’s tip line at 610-250-6635.
