The incident took place in East Meadow around 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 24 at the store located at 2411 Hempstead Turnpike.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 23-year-old man was working at the store when three men entered and punched him, and forced him to the floor.

The robbers then forced the man and another employee, a 23-year-old woman, into the rear storage room by displaying a large handle knife and cut the female employee on her right pinky finger causing a laceration, police said.

Police said the men did not allow the employees to leave the room and forced the victims to unlock the store safe.

The group then left out the rear emergency door and left in a blue Toyota Rav 4, they added.
