Lucky Buffet opened on Tuesday September 19th in a familiar location but with new ownership, new upper management, and a new name. They are ready to bring authentic Chinese flavors to Brown County and the local community. Located in the former Gomez Restaurant building at 716 W Commerce Street in Brownwood, their hours of operation will be Monday – Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 11-9:30, & Sunday 11-9pm.
Brownwood Regional Landfill Transforms Brush into Mulch for Local Gardeners
The Brownwood Regional Landfill and Recycling Center is turning brush piles into mulch. They use machines to grind about 15,000 cubic yards of mulch. The Sanitation Department transports the collected brush to the recycling center. Here, it's changed into compost piles.

8th Annual Corks and Caps is Scheduled for Saturday, October 7th in Brownwood
Make plans to attend the 8th Annual Corks and Caps presented by Visit Brownwood. The event is set for Saturday, October 7th from 6 pm–11 pm at the Depot Plaza in Brownwood. Corks and Caps will feature tastings of beer and wine from breweries and wineries located around the region. All wineries will have bottles of their signature wines for sale.
