Man shot to death in SE Portland identified; police believe it was a random killing
The Portland Police Bureau has publicly identified the man who was shot to death in Southeast Portland on April 15. Marc-Leon Telean, 30, was shot in the middle of the afternoon near Southeast 84th Avenue and Powell Boulevard in what detectives believe was a random shooting. Police do not think Telean, who had recently moved to Portland from Haiti, knew his killer.

A Happy Valley woman is accused of leading a money laundering cell that hid nearly $100 million in drug proceeds for a drug trafficking organization. Enhua Fang, 37, is the first of five defendants named in a six-count indictment out of federal court in North Carolina, charged with conspiracy to launder money, conceal money laundering, engage in transactions involving derived property and aiding and abetting in those crimes.
Man arrested in Portland for trying to set electrical boxes on fire, wielding machete
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested in east Portland after attempting to set fire to electrical boxes and threatening people with a machete on Saturday night, PPB said. Around 5:30 p.m., officers were called to stop the man who was threatening people with a machete and trying to start fires. When police confronted the suspect, Ben Bilip 32, he refused to comply.

Portland Firefighters Successfully Extinguish North Portland Commercial Building Blaze; No Injuries Reported
Flames engulfed a North Portland commercial building early this morning, prompting a swift response from Portland Fire & Rescue. The fire, reported at approximately 10:15 am, sent brown smoke billowing from a garage bay door of a 10,000-square-foot structure in the Overlook Neighborhood. The building, which contained an automotive repair shop and a vacant space, was found to have the smoke under significant pressure as firefighters attempted to gain entry, according to the Portland Fire & Rescue.
