CSA Anniversary
On September 13-15, 2024, the Charity School Alumni Association (CSAA) will celebrate their 35th anniversary weekend. The organization invites everyone who wants to partake in this celebration of excitement, unification, and pride for their academic and historical heritage. Homecoming Service and Revival
Mt. Zion Church will hold its Homecoming Service Sunday, September 15, 2024, beginning at 11:00 A.M. The Reverend Tim Heath will be the speaker. A covered-dish meal will immediately follow the morning service. Members and friends of the church are cordially invited to attend. Preacher Josh Thomas will hold revival services from September 15-18, 2024. Service begins each night at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Zion Church is located at 367 Cedar Fork Road in Beulaville.
Voter Registration Drive

Revival
The Beulaville Free Will Baptist Church, located at 141 Lyman Road, will host Revival from September 22-25. The Services will begin at 7 p.m. each night with a time of Prayer & Praise.
Muscadine Festival
The Duplin Events Center hosts the 20th Anniversary of the Muscadine Festival for a day filled with wine tastings on September 28. Various vendors will be stationed throughout the event to provide samples of this local sweet wine. Tailgating contests and an amateur wine making competitions will be held along with live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of.
Cops and Bobbers
The Wallace Parks and Rec Department and Wallace PD partnered with the House of Raeford “Flock” will host the annual youth fishing tournament. The event takes place at Farrior Park starting at 8 a.m. on September 21. You can register at wprd.recdesk.com
Community Fun Day
The Duplin County chapter of the NAACP is hosting a Community Fun Day and Kickball Tournament in Chinquapin. Free food will be available with family activities. DJ Nuffced will provide music along with vendors with delicious food and games for the kids. There will also be voter registration booths to prepare for election season. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 28 at the Chinquapin Parks and Recreation Field.
Festival Cultural Latino
The festival is a family friendly event to celebrate Latino culture on October 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Clement Park in Wallace. The family friendly festival will take place during Hispanic Heritage Month and consists of free entertainment, folkloric dancing, music, a soccer tournament, useful resources from non-profit organizations and many other activities. Swing for the Cure Fundraiser
Swing for the Cure raises money for breast cancer research. This is a several day event starting with Putting for Pink on October 9 and October 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., ending with a tournament following a luncheon at River Landing on October 19.
