PEORIA COUNTY (25News Now) - The central Illinois is continuing to come together for Dunlap High School soccer player Tessa Sutton.

Sutton has been battling cancer since June of 2021. On the ‘Team Tessa’ Facebook page, her family says Sutton is now at a hospice facility.

The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office received donated graphics to put on the student resource officer’s squad cars at Dunlap High School.

Monday, the Murray Baker Bridge lights were purple for Sutton’s 17th birthday, which her family says she could see from her window when she was still at OSF Children’s Hospital.
