Theft continues to be a problem in Duchesne County, especially in the Fruitland area and west end of the County in general. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, these recent thefts involved trailers and heavy equipment. “Just a reminder, if possible, do not leave property items unattended,” shares the Sheriff’s announcement. “Taking photographs of the property items and their VIN or serial numbers is always a good idea. This information is useful to law enforcement and helps to list property lost or stolen on the National Crime Information Center  (NCIC) through the FBI.” All are urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood. Contact the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office at 435-738-2015. To remain anonymous, call the tip line at 435-738-0196.
