The California Highway Patrol released a rescue video taken by its Golden Gate Division Air Operations.

The CHP helicopter H-30 responded with a San Ramon Valley Fire Helicopter Rescue Technician to the scene of a crash last week after a driver went off the side of Calaveras Road and tumbled down a steep ravine.

First responders located a vehicle on its roof, approximately 100 feet down a steep ravine, with the driver trapped.

CHP Dublin, Alameda County Fire, Cal Fire, East Bay Regional Parks, and a Faulk Ambulance freed the driver but needed CHP H-30 to hoist the injured person to safety.

The H-30 crew hoisted the rescue technician into the ravine and placed the driver into a rescue device.

The injured driver was then flown to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. His condition is not known at this time.

CHP-Dublin is investigating the cause of the crash.
