Christopher Edwin “Poppy” Peters, 62, a resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Edgewater, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born on July 12, 1960 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Harry and Jean (Scutt) Peters. Mr. Peters proudly served in the US Navy as a maintenance technician from 1982-1987. On July 14, 1990, in Daytona Beach, FL he married Cheryl (Walsh) Hays who predeceased him on October 26, 2007.
Mr. Peters is survived by his stepdaughter, Heather Yeno, and her husband, Edward, of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by two grandchildren Helina and Dale Yeno. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Peters was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony Yeno.
