Two people were arrested after a multi-vehicle crash and foot pursuit Thursday morning in Douglas County.Deputies responded to the area of North 121st Street and Military Road for a theft, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.Deputies saw the suspect vehicle leaving the area as they arrived at the scene, authorities said. The vehicle then violated a traffic signal at the intersection of 120th Street and Military Road, causing a multi-vehicle crash, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.Authorities said the driver of the vehicle, identified as Dalton Gaston, fled the scene on foot.Deputies and Omaha police officers were later able to locate Gaston, who was taken into custody for two counts of theft by unlawful taking, leaving the scene accident, driving during suspension and possession of burglar's tools, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.Gaston, who was on pretrial release for felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving, had two active felony warrants for his arrest, according to law enforcement.The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Brandy Gossett, was taken into custody for two counts of theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglar's tools.Get the latest headlines from KETV NewsWatch 7

Two people were arrested after a multi-vehicle crash and foot pursuit Thursday morning in Douglas County.

Deputies responded to the area of North 121st Street and Military Road for a theft, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies saw the suspect vehicle leaving the area as they arrived at the scene, authorities said. The vehicle then violated a traffic signal at the intersection of 120th Street and Military Road, causing a multi-vehicle crash, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said the driver of the vehicle, identified as Dalton Gaston, fled the scene on foot.

Deputies and Omaha police officers were later able to locate Gaston, who was taken into custody for two counts of theft by unlawful taking, leaving the scene accident, driving during suspension and possession of burglar's tools, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Gaston, who was on pretrial release for felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving, had two active felony warrants for his arrest, according to law enforcement.
