Local Resident Erin Hagan Arrested in Connection to Kennesaw Drive Homicide
On September 12th, 2023, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested Erin Hagan. He had active warrants for charges including Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault, issued by the City of Atlanta Police Department.
Man arrested in Douglas County for deadly Atlanta shooting last month
ATLANTA - A man wanted for deadly shooting last month along Kennesaw Drive NW in Atlanta has been booked into the Fulton County Jail. Erin Hagan was wanted for the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman at a home in the 1300 block of Kennesaw Drive NW on Aug. 24.

Douglas County's 21st 'September Saturdays' Festival: A Celebration of Local Heroes and Family Fun
The 'September Saturdays' festival, an annual event in Douglas County, Georgia, is set to start this weekend. The festival will occur on September 23rd and 30th. Douglas County Government, Georgia’s Own Credit Union, and Truist Bank are collaborating for this event. The Douglas County Courthouse will host it, with over 100 vendors and exhibitors participating. Thousands of attendees are expected over the two weekends.
NJAS winners announced
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/ Douglas County (CAC) presented cash prizes and ribbons to several artists on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 7. One hundred thirty artworks were submitted to National Juried Arts Show (NJAS) 2023 at the CAC, and three credentialed judges selected the final 81 artworks (as many artworks as could fit on the historical gallery walls).
