While heartbroken by lives lost to gun-related violence, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners and the Douglas County Sheriff are asking state legislators to focus upstream – as Douglas County has for the past six years – on programs and initiatives that first address the struggles associated with the unmet mental and behavioral health needs in all Colorado communities.

Please watch and share their message sent to the Colorado General Assembly.

The Board and Sheriff stand united in opposition to any law that would usurp the Constitution of the United States, or would interfere with the second amendment right for all law-abiding citizens to protect their lives and their families.
