Jeff Sinyard named chair of state DNR Board

ALBANY -- For myself and many citizens across Dougherty County who have called and reached out, this week has been very difficult. It has offered both sadness and despair regarding the termination of Dougherty County Administrator Mike McCoy.

During Thursday's County Commission meeting, it was said, "We need to get this behind us." The meeting was focused on the process of hiring another county administrator and how we might communicate the job's responsibilities and difficulties. But before getting it behind us, we should at least consider the man terminated, Mr. Mike McCoy, and at least consider discussing bringing him back, if indeed he would come back.

Businessman Jeff Sinyard is the former chairman of the Dougherty County Commission.
