DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Eleven men from three states were arrested over the past four days after an online sting operation revealed they were trying to meet juveniles for sex in Dothan, a Dothan Police Department press release revealed.
According to Dothan Police Lt. Scott Owens, recently, Dothan Police Investigators, along with several other agencies, conducted an undercover cyber operation hoping to catch people in online chats who were looking to engage in sexual activities with minors.
Lt. Owens says during the operation, investigators engaged in several conversations, which eventually led to 11 men traveling to meet who they thought were juveniles at an undisclosed location in Dothan.
The investigation led to the arrest of 11 men:

The Dothan Police Department would like to thank Covenant Rescue Group, Homeland Security Investigations, United States Marshal’s Service, and the Houston/Henry County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance in this operation. More charges are pending based on the operation.
