DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A 23-year-old Dothan woman is facing drug and prison contraband charges after police say she had drugs on her during the jail booking process.
According to Dothan Police, on the morning of Wednesday, June 7, officers arrested Ja’Mya Brown in the 1100 block of Ross Clark Circle for possession of illegal drugs.
Police say officers asked Brown if she had additional drugs on her after the arrest and gave her ample time to warn them, but while being processed in the jail, personnel discovered Brown had more illegal drugs on her.
Brown has been charged with one count of Possession of Marijuana Second Degree and one count of Promoting Prison Contraband. She has a set bond of $6,000.
