UPDATE: Two arrested after deadly bar shooting

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After an all-day investigation, police have arrested two men and charged them with the murder of a 51-year-old Geneva man who police say tried to break up a fight.

Police have arrested 29-year-old Raheem Anthony Powe of Abbeville, and 27-year-old Nakia Kentae Thompson of Dothan for the murder of Roger Shane Felder.

Both men have been charged with one count of murder. Their bond has been set at $1.5 Million each.

According to Dothan Police, in the early morning of March 30, an argument occurred inside the Pearl Lounge and Grill in the 2800 block of Ross Clark Circle, which turned physical, and Felder attempted to act as a good samaritan and de-escalate the situation.

Police say the individuals were made to leave the lounge by the owners and once outside, another altercation took place and Felder was fatally shot.

Around 1:20 a.m., officers arrived on the scene and found Felder in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and police are attempting to locate additional persons of interest in the case, but it is unknown if additional arrests will be made.
