DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Donna Police say an 18-year-old man is charged with beating his infant son to death.

Seneca Allen Booker, 18, was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of capital murder, according to a news release from the Donna Police Department.

According to Police Chief Gilbert Guerrero, the six-month-old was found unconscious on Friday morning at Dolphin Motel & RV Park, located at the 2300 block of Hooks Ave. The parents called for an ambulance and the baby was transported to a local hospital where he died.

Guerrero says according to a preliminary autopsy, the six-month-old died due to multiple blunt force trauma to the head.

Police say the mother was present at the time of the incident and has been cooperative with police. She is not facing any charges at this time.

Booker is currently at the Donna City Jail on a $500,000 bond and facing a charge of capital murder.
