Softball: Vote now for lohud Player of the Week (April 15-21)

After another action-packed week, it's time to crown the lohud Softball Player of the Week.

Meet the finalists that were catalysts on the diamond. The players' credentials are listed above the fan poll — which will be live until 2 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced on lohud social media accounts on Tuesday night.Now, let's meet the candidates.

Katie Attwood, Tuckahoe

The Tigers' freshman ace went 3-0 in her starts against Valhalla, Haldane and North Salem, combining for 41 strikeouts and allowing just one earned run and eight hits. She also appeared in two innings of relief against Yonkers, where she added five more strikeouts. She also recorded her 200th career strikeout in the 3-1 win over Valhalla. Offensively, she batted 8-for-15 (.533), with two doubles, one triple, two home runs, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Grace Camerlingo, Clarkstown South

The Clarkstown South speedster went 5-for-10 (.500) in a three-game slate that included White Plains and a home-and-home series with Suffern. She also drew four walks, scored four runs and stole six bases. The Vikings' outfielder had a .642 on-base percentage for the week.

Maggie Caputo, Putnam Valley

The Tigers' sophomore enjoyed a productive week in their games against Irvington, Haldane and Eastchester. Caputo batted a combined 6-for-11 (.545), with four doubles, one home run, nine RBIs, six runs scored and one sac fly. She also made the all-tournament team on Dom Cecere Day in Eastchester.

Maysin Kannapin, Dobbs Ferry

The Eagles' standout stayed hot at the plate in a three-game stretch that included games against Rye Neck, North Salem and Irvington. She batted a combined 7-for-10 (.700) with three doubles, one home run, five RBIs and a .750 on-base percentage. She also reached the 100-hit milestone as a junior in the Eagles' win over North Salem.

Lily Mirabella, Westlake

The Wildcats' catcher went 6-for-14 (.429) with two doubles, two home runs and six RBIs, in Westlake's busy four-game week. She also drew four walks, scored seven runs, logged a .556 on-base percentage and an OPS of 1.556.

Clare Picone, Rye Neck

The Monmouth-bound catcher has been a force all around the plate for the Panthers. This past week, she batted 4-for-9 (.444) in a 3-0 stretch for Rye Neck. She belted two home runs, both over the fence, including a grand slam, and had six RBIs. She's also provides a big boost defensively, throwing out 96% of runners attempting to steal this season but also recording 28 putouts this past week.

Alexis Tighe, White Plains

The freshman standout was crucial in the circle and at the plate in a 3-0 week for the Tigers, which started with a marquee 4-0 win over Clarkstown South, where she threw a two-hit shutout with 17 strikeouts, and was followed by back-to-back no-hitters against Lincoln and Horace Greeley. All in all, Tighe tallied 43 strikeouts over 17 innings. Offensively, she was 7-for-10 (.700), with four doubles, two home runs, six RBIs, three runs scored, and one walk.
