Two incidents occurred in Waldorf, Maryland this week. The first incident involved a non-fatal shooting that took place on October 29. An altercation between two males in a business led to an unknown person shooting the victim, who was later hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, Aaron Dupree Jackson-McCauley, was identified and arrested on December 6. The second incident was an apartment fire on December 4. The fire occurred in the Hunters Run Apartments and was reported by a caller who noticed curtains on fire. Fortunately, the family residing in the apartment escaped without injuries.

• A juvenile and an adult suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash involving a horse and buggy and a truck in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. • The horse and buggy, carrying three family members, entered the road after the horse unexpectedly reared and was hit by a Toyota Tundra.
