Most school budgets pass; B’ville-Henderson defeated, Massena library change nixed
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Voters in the north country approved most school budgets Tuesday night. Belleville-Henderson was the lone budget to be defeated. There, an increase in the tax levy of 3.49 percent was proposed, higher than what the state allows, so a ‘super majority’ of 60 percent of voters is required.
Clarkson University Names Allegany Student Presidential Scholar

BRUSHTON -- The annual Americans Supporting Armed Services Golf Tournament will be held at Highland Greens Golf Course in Brushton on June 15 at 6 p.m. A special guest will be in attendance. SSG Will Castillo, Team USA Para Bobsled National Team Captain where he holds several national titles. Mr. Castillo is a veteran himself having proudly served in the US Army for 11 years.
