Maverick's trainer describes him as "an affectionate and eager-to-please dog." He is crate-trained and housebroken, although he may pee when he's excited or feels too much pressure. This behavior is relatively common in dogs and can be managed with patience. The trainer advises, "Exposing him to various situations and challenges over time, in a controlled and supportive manner, will help him become less sensitive and more confident."

To help Maverick feel more at ease, the trainer recommends maintaining a calm demeanor during interactions. "Encourage calm behavior with gentle petting and soothing words," the trainer suggests, emphasizing the importance of not getting Maverick too hyped up.

Maverick can be fearful of new situations, so continued socialization is key to building his confidence. Gradual exposure to different environments, people, and other animals will help him become more comfortable. "Start with low-stress situations and slowly increase the level of exposure as he becomes more comfortable," the trainer advises, adding that treats and praise will help Maverick associate new experiences with positive feelings.

This friendly dog is great with other dogs and even cats once he gets used to them. Slow introductions and positive interactions with other animals will further boost his confidence and help him feel more secure in his new home. Maverick will flourish in a loving and patient environment.
