Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. has recently introduced Ryu, a lively 1-year-old, 18lb Cairn terrier mix, who is eager to find his forever home. According to the nonprofit animal rescue, "Ryu (rye-you) is a spunky little guy, super dog friendly and loves play time." His vibrant personality makes him an excellent companion for someone looking for an energetic and friendly pet.

In addition to his playful nature, Ryu is also well-behaved. The rescue notes, "He walks very well on a leash, but doesn’t mind being carried." Like a lot of pups his age, Ryu also has a love for treats and toys, meaning his future home can have fun spoiling him!

Ryu's journey to Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. began when he was found as a shelter stray with a microchip. Unfortunately, his previous owners never returned for him. Now, Ryu is preparing to make his way to Massachusetts, with the rescue stating, "Ryu heads to MA next week and is available for preadoption, available to go home 7/22!" Ryu's friendly nature and adaptability will make him a wonderful companion who is sure to bring joy and happiness to his new family.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption.
