DETROIT – More top players have committed to play in Detroit’s PGA Tour event.

Organizers of the Rocket Mortgage Classic announced Thursday that the World Golf Ranking’s No. 6 player Max Homa, a six-time winner on tour, will play in the fifth annual tournament being held at the Detroit Golf Club June 27 to July 2.

Homa has eight top-10 finishes in 18 tournaments this season including wins at the Fortinet Championship and Farmers Insurance Open. He has played the Rocket Mortgage Classic three times, with his best finish (tied for 24th) coming in 2022.

World No. 21 Tom Kim and world No. 68 Kevin Kisner also committed to the event this week. Two-time major winner Collin Morikawa, defending champion Tony Finau and fan-favorite Rickie Fowler committed to play in April.

Kim, 20, was a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2022 when he won the Wyndham Championship. He captured the Shriners Children’s Open this season. Kim made his Rocket Mortgage Classic debut last year and finished seventh.

The majority of the tournament’s 156-player field will be confirmed as final on June 23, with the likely addition of final player exemptions to complete the field just before the beginning of tournament week.

Four players will earn entry through on open qualifier on Monday, June 26.

Grounds tickets for the event start at $65 per day, with LendingTree Lounge passes starting at $110 and Club Ace passes starting at $300.
