DETROIT (WWJ) - A man shot several times outside a Detroit funeral home on Wednesday evening was targeted, police believe -- and detectives think more than one suspect was involved.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at Andrews Hall Funeral Home off Rosa Parks Boulevard near Glendale Ave., Detroit police said via WXYZ.

According to authorities, the man was hit several times when someone open fired. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Based on their preliminary investigation, police told WXYZ that they believe there was at least two vehicles involved in the drive-by and that there was more than one shooter.

The victim is also believed to have been targeted.

No other information was released. Additional details are expected to be released at a later time.
