Body pulled from Detroit River near downtown, police investigating cause of death

DETROIT (WWJ) – An investigation is underway after a body was pulled from the Detroit River on Sunday.

The body was discovered late Sunday morning near downtown near Milliken State Park and pulled from the water by the Detroit Fire Department, a Detroit police spokesperson told WWJ.

Authorities have not released any information about the victim, but he was identified as an "older" male.

A cause of death is still under investigation.

It was not immediately clear if police suspect foul play.
