Davis set the rhythm for the touted West Bloomfield offense this year, leading the Lakes to the Division 1 championship game for the second-straight season before finishing runner-up to Rockford.

This season, she contributed all over the floor while averaging 15.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.6 steals, 1.6 assists and 0.6 blocks. She was also named the Gatorade Michigan Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season for her efforts this season.

“Indya is like a Swiss Army knife,” West Bloomfield coach Darrin McAllister said earlier this season. “She can play anywhere.”

Davis had team highs in points and rebounds with 23 and 12 in the state semifinal win over Salem. She then had eight points, seven rebounds and four steals in the narrow loss to Rockford.

A Michigan State commit, Davis still has one year left alongside twin sister Summer Davis to try and lead West Bloomfield back to the Breslin Center and capture the second championship of their careers.

The Georgetown signee was a McDonald’s All-American nominee this season and averaged just under a double-double with 19.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Her departure from the program is going to be tough to recover from but her legacy will be remembered for a long time as she won 60 games with Wayne over the last three seasons.

Salem went 21-7 and won the KLAA title while making it to the semifinals for the first time since 1990.
