The Gettysburg Foundation announced today it will host “A Gettysburg Christmas in July” with stage and screen actor, producer and director Bo Brinkman and partner Kris Webb Friday, July 26, 2024, from 7 until 9 p.m. Area residents and visitors to Gettysburg are invited to celebrate Christmas in July with a festive evening featuring a special showing of the movie A Gettysburg Christmas in the Kinsley Theater at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. The festal July event will include time after the movie for Q&A and t-shirt signings. Best known locally for his role as Lt. Col. Walter H. Taylor in the 1993 movie Gettysburg, Brinkman will answer questions from the audience related to the movie Gettysburg. Guests can purchase t-shirts before and after the showing of A Gettysburg Christmas to have signed at the close of the evening.
Damascus High Schoolers refurbish, donate car to local family | Get Uplifted
BETHESDA, Md. — A community supporting a DMV family in need is truly getting us uplifted. Thanks to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), a family-owned company, and Damascus High School students a north Bethesda mom and her two teenage children are rolling on four wheels once again. They were gifted a refurbished 2020 Kia Soul.
Library Funfest on Friday
People of all ages are invited to attend the Adams County Library’s 7th annual FunFest at the Gettysburg Rec Park on June 14th from 3-7 pm. Over 60 local organizations will provide free hands-on activities, games, and giveaways for children at each vendor booth while providing information for adults. There will be entertainment, food trucks, special guests, music, and special services like bike safety and fingerprinting.

Graphcom Completes $3.9M Expansion in Orrtanna
Syracuse, N.Y.-based Graphcom has completed a $3.9 million expansion and consolidation project that included the rehabilitation of a former Orrtanna manufacturing facility. The company said it acquired the Signature Stair Company Orrtanna campus and transformed the 20-year-old facility into five buildings at 251 Silo Road. The $3.9 million project also relocated Graphcom’s main office in Gettysburg and the Orrtanna facility.
